Parker & Halliday

History

In 1980, Attorney Drew Parker and Attorney Ronald "Doc" Halliday combined their legal expertise and experience. Together with legal assistant Denice Pennington they formed the partnership of Parker & Halliday. Through the next two decades, there were constants: the three of them, their dedication to personal service, and the attempt to achieve the best possible results for clients.

Then, several years ago, legal assistant Kim Unruh joined the firm as assistant to Doc Halliday. Most recently, in 2009, the firm added associate attorney Rob Parker, Drew's son, who works with legal assistant Brittney Lowe. These additions were the first changes to Peoria's oldest legal partnership.

In the firm's early years, both Drew and Doc concentrated on defending criminal cases, including other types of litigation, and successfully represented defendants in major murder trials and other extremely high-profile felonies. Drawing on their extensive trial experience, the partners evolved Parker & Halliday into one of Central Illinois' most respected trial law firms. Through the years, all manner of cases have been successfully handled, including numerous fatal car accidents, lawsuits against railroads for personal injuries, and hundreds of multi-million dollar divorces.
